One example, we built Concorde before joining the EEC/EU, Concorde was a joint Anglo-French project that was built in a time with hard national borders.

vertical takeoff Fully fuelled and armed for combat, the F-35B is not a vertical takeoff plane as its too heavy. And to be fair to the F-35B, the Harrier couldn't do fully loaded vertical takeoffs either, which is why the Invincible class carriers had runways and ski jump ramps for additional lift....
