Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
Spain defiantly should be buying a few f35b to replace the harrier on the Juan Carlos 1 ,bit of a mad policy tbh in with france and Germany ,as they definitely not going to be building a v take off variant of there new plane defo on that score ,unless Spain planning to build a conventional carrier r...

I wouldn't let France , Germany join tempest ever ,no flipping way . possibly let Spain join tho ,but as they will never go against the EU big 2 it wouldn't happen ,it's all just spin and the journey anyway ,France and Germany will come together no matter what to make it happen because they can't af...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
They probably will retain lead as far as 6th gen concerned ,so for a lot of years yet in service ,China can't match USA on Stealth tech, engine tech, even if they manage to level up alittle on electronics it takes the whole package for the platform ,so China not going to catch for the offering anyway ...

Re: FV4034 Challenger 2 Main Battle Tank (British Army)
Just can't help thinking tho how good a 150 upgraded challenger tanks or so would do against 12,000 russian tanks rolling across the plains ,even if they were old ,and half not working , don't think Europes tank fleet going to do much just because off shear weight thrown against them no matter how g...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal
I don't think we will need the aircraft but good idea ,think Boris will cave in to eu demands as I've always thought , think today he pushed back on new bill thru parliament to give more time for negotiations till Dec ,so there we go so much for the 15th Oct deadline to agree a deal or walk away blu...

With all this challenger tank poss upgrade programme and/or cuts to the fleet all trying to combat /match the Russian armata tank costing £2.9 million each , wouldn't it be cheaper just to buy a load of them saving loads (tongue in cheek folks)

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)
If tempest makes it to fruition and I'm not 100% yet ,it will never be in the same league as the new American offering just by the huge sums of money and tech advancement lead the USA built up ,but luckily tempest doesn't have to compete with it just our russian/Chinese future offerings which hopefu...

Doesn't tailor our ambition to our pocket and something we can afford just code for slash ,cut or reduce. It's all a load of baloney anyway the money men are going to dictate what we getting as usual ,it's never going to be what we need to do the job ,so don't let this rubbish they will try and spin...
