Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Just a fun KHM post, not seen this before, though I'm sure they've posted it many times. I can confirm nipper had moved from Rosyth to Aldershot to Gatwick. Merry Christmas to you all, I think next year will be his last few months on PWLS, hopefully he'll stay in the RN but his current mood, sadly,...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Sadly HMS PWLS sits in dry dock in Rosyth. The crew understandably must be pulling their hair out. This latest disaster comes on top of other mishaps that have caused the ship to be under going repairs for more days than it has been at sea. About to set sail for a visit to the US for major trials a...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
If only Eric 'Winkle' Brown were still around, bet he'd have a go at it, even at 90 odd years of age.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Spoke to, and saw nipper, as he was down for a week's course at HMS Collingwood. He is really disheartened. After signing on for an extra 2 year stint on PWLS to go with the Americas tour, the prop issue happened. He said he will go for a shore based role when his next assignment is due, I've tried ...

Quite busy down here at the dockyard, 3 or 4 Merlin's have landed on QNLZ, at least one was a Crowsnest.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
Spoke to Nipper yesterday, he was on S1 duty for the entire trip in to Rosyth, up next to the ramp on flight deck... apparently, although it looked a nice sunny day, it was freezing.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
The Navy has not commented on how long the repairs at Rosyth are expected to take and how long HMS Prince of Wales will be absent from its role as Nato flagship, but it is understood it will be months rather than weeks. She was due in Rosyth next year anyhow, I would hope that whatever she was due ...
