Without looking at those links, is it possible airtanker are lending them a plane or 2 until their own aircraft are converted?

Re: Section infantry weapons
We don't have a PDW in Army service but the MoD Police have the H&K MP7 so there is a small supply chain already in existence. Also do Tank crews etc. still have the "Mini" SA80 or carbine? I believe it was updated to A2 standard and it is very compact if a little heavy still, for a w...

Re: Section infantry weapons
As others have alluded to, the doctrine around section attacks is changing if we implement grenade launchers in any form (personally not a fan of underslung) within a section. The Yanks seem to be moving away from underslung launchers, the m320 being mostly employed as a stand alone... But maybe th...

Still see it as a 762 replacement more than anything... And even then I can't see to many Yanks being happy to hand in their m4's to lug one of these things around all day...

There was originally concept art of Crowsnest on a rear ramp... Looked way better (aero wise) than stuck on the side...
And to be honest, I think all future frontline helicopters should be marinised, regardless of who will operate them.

Re: UK Future Vertical Lift Programme
Hi, Excuse my ignorance for the crap suggestion ? but could we not except a limited capability for a few years until a common replacement for the merlins etc by buying more wildcats which would keep yeovil open, no differing logistical supply line, its not in the same league as puma but if we could...

I freely admit I know naff all about tanks, but wouldn't it be better to get in with the Americans on a future tank design? Their goals seem to be more inline with ours, than with what the French and Germans can offer...

Yes, JSTARS replacement was going to shrink dramatically, too. Not sure what happened, have not followed that closely The plan to replace it with another aircraft was canned, the last I'd read they were looking to use a combo of satellites and other sensors to do the job... Possibly the same as the...
