Journo's must be waiting for their next press opportunity. First we had "Carriers without Planes" and next ...................... "Planes without Guns"!Just wait for it. I've been expecting them to drop it for a while. It being in a separate pod is just TOO easy to cut.

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
What about repainting and other work that supposedly should have been done in dry dock after the POW is out? Would not be able to enter Rosyth (or Dry Dock) for another month. If Builders trials are completed, might as well continue moving the programme forward in the most effective way, or would y...

Wrong,
Hermes was fitted with a quadruple SeaCat launcher on the sponsons on both stern quarters. Although the SeaCat was rather "Old Hat" by the time of the Falklands, they are very clearly visible.

Re: POLL - HMS Queen Elizabeth Wardroom Carpet !
Royal Blue as befits the name of the ship and (also midway between Navy Blue and Sky Blue) so that RN and RAF "Types" feel equally "at home". Far too P.C. for me, but nevertheless probably what some MOD Mandarin will have come up with! On the other hand, maybe with the possibilit...

Re: UK's Future T26 Frigate.
Possibly, but the article (having already dealt with the Type 45 GMD) was referring to the number of "Frigates" to replace the 13 x Type 23 in the RN. Even 19 x T26 although welcome, would be too few.

However, Warships International Fleet Review reports recent rumours that up to 19 T26 will eventually be ordered. Is this Indica...
