C17 in CCAST role is a brilliant capability. when VC10 retired the C17 became the fastest way home. isn't there issues with accomodating personnel under a flightdeck?

Endurance had to clear those whose bunks were in that position to conduct flight ops and I think I read the type 21's had to not use the mess when flying was happening!

the move brings them closer to the ASW helicopter force at culdrose. Would really make sense to have all the ASW assets grouped down here
