Re: The war in Ukraine
And then to distract everyone from the worst war crime ever recorded, Russia does a false flag and kills a bunch of POWs.

Re: The war in Ukraine
Ukraine drew a line across the bridge in Kherson with HIMARS.
Sadly, it's going to be a siege. But, on the bright side, it's much higher odds of victory.

Bulgaria is the only country producing 152, 120 and GRAD for Ukraine.
Sadly the Russian influence is causing difficulty for the Pro Ukraine PM.

Martlet and Starstreak get extra thumbs up due to the visual guided nature according the latest RUSI report.
I guess EW and flares are useless against it.

They're firing at night time mostly to avoid air recon.
I would also like the production of like 200 dummy HIMARS.

Re: The war in Ukraine
This article suggests some success with its use https://myukraineis.org/news/the_armed_forces_of_ukraine_successfully_used_himars_enemy_command_posts_destroyed_video-667.html There was 0 doubt it would be successful. It's literally top of the line gear. The Marines have 10's of units under 50 tryin...

I will be shocked if the UK doesn't go HIMARS. It seems very British to have such an expeditionary capability.

Cool Leo 2's for Ukraine from Spain.
So the last 2 weeks we got HIMARS, MLRS, armed drones, Western AA systems, MBT.
Now all that's left is to train Ukraine on Western jets.

Ah the NGSW, one of the dumbest programs the USA has right now. The navy is basically half broken.

Re: The war in Ukraine
UK couldn't send MLRS before US agreed it (ITAR regs) But they did send NLAWs early, and Starstreak (much faster than Stingers). They were the first to send anti-ship missiles (still unspecified type). They also sent Brimstone and have reportedly had special forces in country training Ukranian army...

Sholtz has been dealt a very poor hand. Nothing he can do about Merkel and Von Der Leyen's many failures. He has, however, made some partial corrections for those failings - substantive elevations of defence spending and announcements to reduce dependence on Russian oil and gas, for example. Even w...

Re: The war in Ukraine
Better yet you tell me a weapon system that the UK led the USA on and I'll shut up for good. The decision to send 2,000+ NLAW in the weeks before the invasion sort of counts. Not the type but the quantity. Yes the US was already sending more sophisticated Javelins but so far as I know (may well be ...
