Re: HMS Victory (1778-Present) (RN)

I don’t know about anyone else, but I am getting mightily fed up with looking at Victiory in her protracted emaciated state! Perhaps it is just another sign of the continuing under investment in the RN. Talk about fitted for, but not with!

Re: Donald Trump

By finding Trump “Not Guilty” those Senators who so voted, may be seen by the electorate to be condoning the behaviour of the then POTUS and by implication, the insurrection. What future can there be for the GOP now? Talk about Turkeys voting for Christmas (Or perhaps that should be Thanksgiving)!

Beyond SC Sea and Yellow Sea as well, AS AND WHEN NECESSARY. If you do not possess a capability, then even if the need does arise you will not be able to respond to that need. HMG and HMO also need to take note.

Re: General UK Defence Discussion

Perhaps you favour going back to Knights in full armour with Lances and Swords against modern weapons then? A different concept only works for you, if it is more effective/powerful than what your opponent is using. Such as Polish Cavalry versus Panzers for example. That did not work out too well did...

Re: Current & Future Escorts - General Discussion

If it proves too difficult to provide “at sea” reloading into Sylvia/Mk 41 Silos on the T45/T26, it also makes an open and shut case for the provision of an (almost certainly re-loadable) silo of adequate size on the Carrier itself.

The development of a capability to Re-arm at sea is now therefore most urgent, in order to improve the credibility/survivability of our “sovereign” CSGs.

L.J.

You are correct, we badly need an increase in vessel numbers (for each class) of about 50%!

You and others may well say that we will not get that. The fact remains however, it is what we need.
