Re: Exercise Saif Sareea 3 (Swift Sword)
If I’m looking at the same pic, there’s a partial Warrior at the bottom left, then the Spartan with an enforcer RWS then finally scimitar II.

I’m guessing bombs from directly above. The type 56 only has very short range SAM.

Re: Fantasy T31 and Fantasy Fleet Builder [New]
Interesting design but I have my reservations, I can't see a ship of 145m in length and with the equipment level you stipulate being able to support an EMF of 205 as well as core crew. The ship's simply not big enough for all the accommodation, office space, stores, messing, gym etc that 200 marines...

To paraphrase what the Iranians said few days ago: "Color me as not convinced" Nope - Google doesn't come up with anything for "Color me as not convinced" and Iran. Link please, so that we know what you're wibbling about this time. Dishonest, as well, to doctor my post, so as to...

Re: British Army Future Wheeled APC
Having to get Warriors and Ajax to constantly roll around with Boxer simply to have them not get outgunned immediately defeats the entire advantage of Boxer in the first place. There's a reason that every military worth their salt is putting credible firepower in with these types of units. Surely t...

We just need new partners. Let’s look to other allies who have or want an aerospace industry. Italy, Spain, Sweden, Australia, Japan, Brazil even some of the Middle East countries who are investing in typhoon.
We’re probably better off without France and Germany for co-development projects.

I asked this previously and was told that submarines are designed around the propulsion system. You cant change the propulsion without changing the whole submarine.

I'd say it's more likely the work will be transferred away from Farnborough and the MP is trying to get the a positive endorsement from the PM making it more difficult to cut the work in the future. Too cynical?

I thought RNZN were removing Mk41 to reduce weight, complexity and to free up space.Simon82 wrote:Well the RNZN are currently adapting the Mk. 41 VLS on their Anzac Class to fire Sea Ceptor (CAMM), so that is one thing that might actually go in favour of a Type 31e buy.

Re: Should sixteen year olds be able to vote?
I was against 16 and 17 year olds voting in the election but one good thing about it was getting the younger generation participating in the democratic process. The enthusiasm shown is surely a good thing and is promising for future vote turnouts. The turn outs for general elections can be shockingl...
