Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion
If LB04 gets ballsed up I can't see the government forking out to get a replacement section built. Hopefully it's something they've caught quickly and will involve minimal work to fix.

Re: Type 23 Frigate (Duke Class) (RN)
Do these new generators and converters will result in greater speed or equipment, or are they simply to stop the current ones causing problems as they age?

Re: Typhoon
But back on topic, we should be seeing the SPEAR 3 release from Typhoon this month and Storm Shadow in two months or less. Should. Just as it will be on F-35Bs, is the SPEAR 3 set to become the antiship weapon of choice for RAF Typhoons too ? I think Gabi would be able to answer that better than me...

Knowing some 'normal' Indians I assume these people are the equivalent of the mongs who go around YouTube saying 'sas is betta then delta' or 'f22 kills all 'muricaaa!!'? If so it's not so bad, except those people are usually children. The people posting those comments look like adults

Some images here from BAE of LB04's move from land to water. Does anyone know when it's scheduled to arrive in Rosyth?

Re: UK's Future T26 Frigate.
I just hate the small batches idea, though. Given recent history, it scares the hell out of me. It reassures me that the MoD is thinking on this one. This isn't necessarily about ordering less ships but minimising the impact or losses from the Scottish neverendum. If they suddenly vote for independ...

Update on demonstration phase fairly detailed http://www.rina.org.uk/Type_26_programme_progresses_under_demonstration_phase_contract.html Seems like it is a 3+5+5 batch plan It's interesting to see this sentence: In terms of the ship design itself, BAE Systems began Stage 2 modelling in September 2...

UTC Aerospace Systems (UTAS) hopes to close a possible future gap in the UK’s tactical reconnaissance capability, ahead of the planned retirement of the Royal Air Force’s last Panavia Tornado GR4s in 2019. The Tornado can carry the UTAS-produced Raptor pod, which incorporates the company’s DB-110 s...
