In the USN case it looks like the Austal will be by far the lowest displacement contender for the USN frigate contract, the LCS Independence Naval architectural displacement limit is 3,188t, the frigate is not that much larger, the FREMM displacement quoted as 6,900t and with USN specs will be 7,000...
