Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)

Aye teaming up would be just for political purposes and no other benefit but would be a massive step backwards for our tech know how sake basically we don't need them or should give our knowledge away as Ron5 says just to be nicked ,im quessin now but I bet engine tech RR are well ahead and I'm gues...

Re: Future UK Combat Aircraft (Project Tempest)

Don't think the will ever merge programs ,think UK wants pure stealth fighter longer range and the French want same but suitable for carrier opps ,not sure how that changes the design criteria between them both but that's the difference ,plus personally I'd have a rolls designed engine over a french...

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion

Re: Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers - News and Discussion

I think in time Europe will try to integrate more in its defence programs ,operating separate entity from nato as in doing EU only/ run operations ,but I expect them to try to rope UK in at every opportunity tho,yes maybe Germany only goes the way of having a squadron of future french/German next ge...

Re: Type 26 Frigate (City Class) (RN) [News Only]

Re: Type 26 Frigate (City Class) (RN) [News Only]

Would it really matter if hunter and t26 are larger ships than Hobart and type 45 respectively as long as they both do there jobs well , don't think it would be an issue for rn or Australian navy there frigates are bigger than their destroyers

Re: Should the royal navy have a real hospital ship?
