Why is there no MAD boom on the standard p8? Is it cos it’s designed to be mostly high altitude or were methods seen to be more effective? USN decided to save the weight/cost. Yep. The E-7 uses (before mods) an -700ER airframe, P-8 an -800ERX. Same family, different lenghts.

They've all been Battleship names thus far, KGVI fits that mold. Doesn't seem any more out of place on a SSBN than on a CVF.
