Re: 2019 UK General Election

you obviously haven't a clue how Scottish courts work our judicial system is separate from the UK's it always has been You obviously deny or acknowledge that Scotland is IN the UK. Scottish Law is different to English Law. That's all and the SUPREME COURT is the highest court in the UK. we shall se...

59 is the number of Scottish seats There are, I mentioned a much in the post that you're quoting. ... UK court cannot over rule Scottish court A UK court wouldn't need to overrule a Scottish court because as I said in the post that you're quoting, in the unlikely event that the Scottish Court didn'...

Re: 2019 UK General Election

Scottish Tories and Scottish Labour (no such registered parties btw) No one claimed that their were. However, they are separate branches so there is a distinction to make and even if they weren't it'd be common parlance for those parties in Scotland. are expected to lose all there seats hence it wi...

Re: 2019 UK General Election

polls have SNP winning 50 + seats I think that it's likely that the SNP will do very well, but it's far too far out to really start relying on polls. Heck, the current polls were all conducted before the election was even announced. It'll be a couple of weeks before the polls will begin to indicate...

Re: British Army Future Wheeled APC

Well with the Boomerang they have decided, as with their other new Infantry carriers that crew comfort has a place and have started to duplicate the size and shape of many western vehicles. As for the T-14 well they are cramming three crew into the hull below the turret. I haven't seen any pictures...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal

The Lib Dems are in line to be the 2nd largest party in Westminster by some distance over the Labour Party Not currently supported by the polls, though a possibility. The Lib Dems will certainly make significant gains, but (on present data) not overtake Labour. That may, of course, change over the ...

Re: British Army Future Wheeled APC

It is the platoons within the company that would fight dispersed not the platoons themselves in the formation I am suggesting. Yes they would be capable of independent offensive action if needed. They are more likely to act as a fluid screen in front of other formations. AS for the size of Boxer, y...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal

Up to the point of the Gvmnt suspending WAB proceedings the main concern seemed to be that the UK could leave the transition with no deal. Philip Hammond had argued that the "new" agreement is a “heavily camouflaged no deal”, drawing on (recycling) many textual parts of the May Deal. - ea...

Re: Scotland (Political Thread)

It's reported on the BBC under Scottish News. From the aerial shots, 200,000 is a massive overestimation of the numbers - probably less than 50,000. Last year, the organisers claimed 100,000, but the local council and police said it was closer to 20,000. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinb...

Re: Brexit - The UK's EU Referendum & Withdrawal

To be IN the WTO required a deal. So by default, a deal already exists. several major economies said they would block UK's membership of the WTO including the USA, China, Russia, India etc when we joined the EEC later to be EU we lost our membership of the WTO ... that is one of the reasons why it ...

Can't agree here. Even if the Greens and LibDems form an alliance, Labour won't be part of it. That leaves the Remain vote completely split, all over the UK including in Scotland and Wales. In the eyes the Leave voters the Conservative party will have used up their last chance resulting in a clean ...
