This is the resurrection of a old contract that was cancelled by the previous Defence Secretary as being too costly or unaffordable at the time. Been going on for a few years. Not cancelled. Besides the coupling they may bring forward the planned maintenance for next year, plus any other items requiring attention, so Babcock workforce will be busy unless they bring in workers from other shipyards etc.

So out of 1600 Blackhawks only 18 were Class A write offs. How many of those were combat damage in places like Afghanistan.
